  1. Review & acceptance of September 2019 Meeting Minutes
  2. Review & proposed changes to today’s agenda - Julia
  3. Develop spreadsheet to list resources that we may want to turn into Tier 2 negotiations – criteria could include cost and price points, perceived multiple campus interests, potential savings if 4+ campuses were to subscribe, willing Resource Liaison to lead initiative – Michele Potter
  4. Shared print processing updates – latest is November 2019 – see
  5. Is there interest in combining SIAM journals currently locally licensed as a part of the SIAM eBooks package which is a Tier 2 – Deborah Kegel is RL for eBooks.
  6. Update on TransTech  processing – Julia
  7. Update on OHE migration from Safari O’Reilly – Julia
  8. Changes with the Electrochemical Society package – moving to IOPP – may not need a Research Liaison, Sam Tepitzky will assume
  9. Likely new Tier 1 for Zoological Record by LHS CKG if good pricing terms can be reached.
  10. Other calls for Resource Liaisons - For Tier 2’s where the RL also has campus coordinator responsibilities, it’s optimal if the RL/CC is located at the licensing campus. This is not always possible. In the case that the RL/CC and license are at different campuses, the RL/CC needs to ensure communication with the campus that holds the license:
  • Lyell Collection – is a Tier 2, the RL also will be the campus coordinator for the license held at UCLA (Previous RL: Tony Aponte)
  • MIT CogNet – MIT CogNet platform.  Primarily involves keeping apprised of transition status to CogNet3.  CDL adding MIT eBooks in 2019 (I believe as Tier 1).  (Previous R: Michael Yonazawa.  Kat Koziar is the RL for the MIT Journals platform)
  • ACM Digital Library – RL needed for the broader ACM platform, including Journals. ACM is moving to a new platform in early 2020, Holly is working with the vendor to schedule a demo of the new platform for librarians the week of 11/18, before we make overlap access available. I’ll make sure this does not conflict with the PSE meeting on Thursday (and it will be recorded).     (Previous RL: Liz Cheney. Brian Quigley is the RL for the ACM books content on this platform.)
  • SPIE Digital Library – Tier 1 - SPIE content, not much activity. (Previous RL: Tony Aponte)
  • Wiley – Tier 1 – Both journals & eBooks; Contract coming up for 2020. Content primarily LHS with a significant PSE component. Access/activation issues are handled by CDL, but occasionally have feedback for interface behaviors. (Previous RL: Susan Koskinen).
  • CRC eBooks – from Taylor & Francis.  Julia will assume RL.
  1. Other Charleston news – Brian, Julia
  2. Other announcements, business
  3. Next meeting to be late January 2020
