11/25/2014 | Jackie Spafford | UCSB, Image Resource Center | Donation of 35mm slides, travel photography from 1960s and 1970s, from Dora Lambrecht (via the UCSB Arts Library). Mrs. Lambrecht and her husband, Frank, travelled extensively through the US, and also South Africa (he was posted with WHO in the former Belgian Congo in the 1950s and 60s - his daughter has most of those slides), the UK, Italy, Denmark, France, Sweden, Germany, Greece and Canada. Content includes architecture and landscape architecture, as well as parades, public sculpture, fairs, vernacular architecture, road signs, transportation, costume, and other ephemera. | 14,000 slides | Very good - no sign of scratches or mold, some dust. | The entire collection was processed by IRC student staff this summer, and is now housed in slide sheets, in archival boxes (per Jason Miller's system), and has a finding aid and visual PDFs. | No | Handwritten notes on slide mounts plus divider cards. A finding aid has been made, which assists with identification. Would require moderate research to catalogue. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
