Objectives

Upgrade Nuxeo from current version 6.0 to version 7.10 ("Long Term Support" LTS 2015)

Deployment

Create cloned version of Nuxeo 6.0 platform, with current data, in staging enviroment
Run processes to update the platform to version 7.10 (https://doc.nuxeo.com/nxdoc/upgrade-from-60-to-lts-2015/)
Implement Shibboleth-based authentication on version 7.10 staging instance
Test and update CDL-developed code and tools (https://github.com/ucldc/cdl-nuxeo-code) used to support bulk updates and processes, for version 7.10
Re-build code base for Nuxeo File Uploader client (https://github.com/ucldc/nuxeo_uploader), to work with version 7.10

Testing/QA

Verify that UC Libraries-specific customizations (metadata data entry forms, metadata scheme) has been implemented in version 7.10 staging instance
Document key updates/features with version 7.10
Open version 7.0 staging instance to campuses for previewing and testing, with a snapshot of data from 6.0
Establish timeframe to cut over from 6.0 to 7.10
