UCSF Pathway in Health Professions Education

A one year program for residents and fellows interested in careers in education. Applications due in the spring (not announced yet for 2020), for more info click the link above.

GME College

 Forum for residents, fellows, health professions learners, and faculty to learn about core topics in graduate medical education. See the calendar for upcoming dates and topics.

Faculty Development Workshops and Med Ed Grand Rounds 

The Center for Faculty Educators offers a variety of faculty development workshops (free of charge) as well as regular medical education grand rounds open to all faculty, residents, fellows and staff. See the schedule for details. You can also complete a series of workshops towards one of the Teach-for-UCSF Certificate programs.

Teaching Scholars Program

One year program for faculty, requires chair support for release time for Tuesday afternoons Sept - June. Applications are due in the spring. Please note this is a competitive application so reach out if you are hoping to apply.

Developing Medical Educators of the 21st Century Course

Three day course in San Francisco geared towards faculty outside of UCSF - but UCSF faculty are welcome (just no discounts). Early bird registration ends December 15

Masters in Education

One year intensive program offered through UC Berkeley at a reduced fee for UCSF trainees and faculty. Applications are due December 1, more info here through the link above.

PhD program in Educational Research

UCSF offers a Doctoral Program in Health Professions Education in collaboration with Utrecht University Medical Center in the Netherlands. Next admissions in 2021

Academy of Medical Educators

Member organization with a merit based application process, requires several years of experience and a well-developed educators portfolio. Applications due in the spring (not announced yet for 2020). For a list of academy members, including academy chairs in our department, click here

Simulation Fellowship

One year program for graduated residents/4th year fellows focused on simulation. Requires a clinical appointment as moonlighter - contact Mindy Ju at Mindy.Ju@ucsf.edu if interested

Simulation Faculty Scholars Program

Two year program for faculty with an interest in developing simulation programs and an academic career focused on simulation. Next cohort will be recruited in January 2021, contact Sandrijn van Schaik Sandrijn.vanSchaik@ucsf.edu if interested.
