The purpose of this wiki is to provide an open, shared space where UC faculty, students, and staff can engage directly with the Open Access Policy Implementation (OAPI) team and track progress as we build tools and services to support participation in UC's Open Access policies.

For general information about the policies and how to comply with their terms (including requesting a waiver or embargo), please visit the Office of Scholarly Communication website.

UC Publication Management System

The UC Publication Management System searches scholarly databases for faculty article records, emails authors when new articles are found, and supports easy deposit of those articles into eScholarship, UC’s open access repository and publishing platform.

Access to the system is being rolled out in phases, as indicated in the chart below. Once the system is accessible to all UC Senate faculty, implementation will begin for non-Academic Senate UC employees.

Authors who do not yet have access to the UC Publication Management System can still participate in the policy by using eScholarship's streamlined manual deposit.
